Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have become one of the hottest couples in the industry and directors love to book the duo for their films. After a successful hit with "Bajirao Mastani," will the two alleged love birds come together again for another movie?
Padukone and Singh have had two back-to-back successful hits with “Ram Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani,” both which were directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Now, new reports are stating that the two love birds are all set to romance each other again in the direct’s next film.
Sources claim that Singh has been signed to Bhansali’s upcoming film, and Padukone has also been approached to play the female lead.
“Sanjayji spoke to Deepika about his project during the shoot of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and she seemed excited at the prospect then,” said the source according to Indi Cine. “She will mostly agree to play the part. Just that with Bhansali productions, one has to be able to commit a large chunk of exclusive dates, which is not always very easy.”
Last week, Bhansali apparently announced his career’s biggest film, which is may be made on a budget of 125 to 150 crore ($18.789 million to $22.547 million). The movie is estimated to release on Dec. 15 2017.
“Bhansali is planning to do a very different kind of film now. He is currently working on the script and the film is going to be a modern day love story set abroad and will be shot extensively in Europe. The film will feature Sanjay’s favorites - Deepika and Ranveer,” said a source to Bollywood Life.
Singh previously expressed that he loves to work with Bhansali because he allows him to discover himself.
''I keep telling him, I am his Robert de Niro and he's my Martin Scorsese. Mr Bhansali really gives you wings to fly as an artiste. He empowers you as an actor. He gives you the freedom to exercise your own choices and he wants that freedom to be born out of your own experiences,'' said Singh. ''He is a very special director with a very unique process of working, and I am adaptable to that process. We understand each other completely, and he allows me the freedom to interpret scenes the way I want to."
