"Fifty Shades Darker" is already filming, and photos of Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) on set have been making online rounds.
The latest photos of the two (which were obtained by Entertainment Tonight), however, don't quite fit the story of what they're currently shooting. Johnson and Dornan are spotted wearing wedding bands, but the fictional characters they portray don't get married until the third book in E.L. James' series, titled "Fifty Shades Freed."
There have been rumors that "Darker" and "Freed" will be shot at the same time, but no confirmation has been made.
Meanwhile, the photos featuring Johnson and Dornan appear to be squashing rumors that they lack chemistry. The two are evidently happy on set.
Dornan has also addressed the rumors, according to Gossip Cop, saying: "They wouldn't have shot the film with us if there was a lackluster chemistry problem... whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn't have cast us."
Apart from photos of the stars, images from behind-the-scenes have also been released. James has taken to Instagram to share a few snaps of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel's production.

While everything appears to be smooth sailing now, the film experienced a few kinks before it finally started rolling. One of the biggest hurdles was finding a director to take the place of Sam Taylor-Johnson, who helmed the first film in the series. She was eventually replaced by James Foley.
“Fifty Shades Darker” will hit theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
