"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 might be the season for Emison's relationship to blossom.
Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily, and Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison, on the show have opened up about the possibility that their pairing would be highlighted in the upcoming installment of the hit series. In the season 6 finale, Pieterse's character's husband Elliot (Huw Collins) was revealed to be one of the people plotting evil against Rosewood's Liars. Seeing that her relationship with Elliot was merely a part of a plan for vengeance, many fans have started to ask whether it was time for Alison to give a relationship with Emily a chance.
"There's always hope for Emison," Sasha Pieterse told TVLine. "To be honest, though, I don't know how long it's going to take Alison to find out [about Elliott]. I can say that she's going to go crazy this season, absolutely bonkers."
Mitchell added: "Everybody wants them together, right? Emison End Game! ... Honestly, though, I'm all for it. The fans really love Emison."

Pieterse also previously teased Emison's connection in the upcoming season in an interview with MTV UK, saying: "It's hard to say, [but] our creator Marlene always puts it perfectly. She says that no matter what, Alison and Emily will always have a special connection and a special bond and it's a flame that will never be put out. I think that goes for your first love and someone you've been connected to for so long."
Series creator Marlene King has teased that the two might get more screen time next season, and that their relationship might actually develop.
When asked by a fan on Twitter if she thinks Emily is still in love with Alison, King said: "You will need to wait and see. But it feels like it lately."
Fans will be happy with how things will pan out for the pair in the next season, King added: "Emison fans — I think they're gonna have fun this next season seeing what me and Sasha are getting up to and what our characters are doing. I think they're going to be happy with it."
"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 will premiere June 21 on Freeform.
