WGN America recently released a new teaser trailer for "Salem" season three, which hinted that Tituba and Mary Sibley are going to be brought back to life sometime during the premiere.
At the end of "Salem" season two, the witch queen Mary Sibley sacrificed her own life in order to bring John Alden back to life.
Tituba was left for dead after Mary's son John, who is currently being possessed by the devil himself, sent crows to peck out her eyes while she was walking in the woods.
The Wrap reported that WGN America released the official synopsis for "Salem" season three alongside the new promotional trailer.
The devil, who is currently possessing the body of Mary's son John, is planning on betraying the witches by pitting humanity against one another.
Unfortunately, the only person on Earth who has the power to defeat the devil is John's mother and she died at the end of season two.
Nerd Reactor pointed out that there is a scene in the official trailer that shows a distraught John giving Mary a proper burial.
After John buried Mary, the preview hinted that he returned to Salem in order to gather allies and fight back against the witches.
As John attempts to get revenge on the witches, there is another scene that hinted Tituba managed to survive the devil's murderous attack.
Since she ate the eyes of Petrus the seer in "Salem" season two, it is possible that she has taken on his role and that's how she was able to live through the devil's attempt at revenge.
If Tituba is the new seer, it is possible that she knows Mary is the only one who can stop the devil and that is why she brings her friend back from the dead.
However, an elder witch warned Tituba that resurrecting the dead often has consequences and it will be interesting to see Mary's reaction to being brought back to life.
