Harvey Specter from "Suits" is an "arrogant, harsh guy" who prides himself on being the "best goddamn closer in town." But little by little, he is putting his defenses down and showing those around him that there's more to him than meets the eye.
Gabriel Macht, the actor who portrays Harvey, told the New Zealand Herald that season 6 will show an even softer side to his character.
"My journey has been to slowly infuse him with human characteristics so give him some heart, give him some compassion and give him some human characteristics - a conscience," Macht said.
"I think we've been able to do that slowly but surely and in the last season we've seen him having panic attacks and with anxiety and really dealing with inner turmoil that I think all of us find. I'm trying to be uber confident and try and show that some of these guys - that is their facade and underneath they're really struggling," he added.
Macht added that when the show returns, Harvey and the rest of the players of Pearson Specter Litt will have to deal with a "big mess" and build their firm from the ground up.
Despite their big predicament, show creator Aaron Korsh promised that the next season will be fun to watch because they will infuse it with a lot of humor.
"I will just say, as a general thing, the last six [episodes of Season 5] were so tense, they were so relentless, that there was no real emotional room, in my opinion, for humor," he told Yahoo! TV. "I didn't think it was appropriate."
However, the storyline for season 6 is rife with jokes and light moments. "We have some funny stuff coming in season 6. We get back to some of those fun and funnier stories," he teased.
"Suits" season 6 is expected to make its premiere sometime in June on USA Network.
