Since "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Sophie Turner is new to the franchise, the English actress initially had her doubts on how well she would fit in with the other stars of the film.
However, award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, who has portrayed the mutant Mystique in three films already, went out of her way to make Turner feel welcome and acted as her "big sister" on the set.
"Despite being one of the most famous actresses in the world, she's so down-to-earth," Turner told Britain's Marie Claire magazine.
Another star Turner felt intimidated by was Michael Fassbender, who plays the villain Magneto. Thankfully, Turner said that the actor has quite the sense of humor.
"I looked over and he gave me the middle finger, jokingly, and I thought, 'We're going to get on,"' Turner said of her first day on the set.
Turner plays Jean Grey in "Apocalypse." While the role has already been portrayed before by Famke Janssen, like in the 2000 film "X-Men" and 2003 sequel "X2," Turner believes that she still has something new to deliver to the table.
"The difference between this and Famke's Jean Grey is she's young and isolated and so insecure and very alienated - even from the other mutants - because she's so powerful. So there's a real vulnerability to her and it's great to see how her and Scott (Tye Sheridan) find each other through that alienation," the actress shared with Entertainment Weekly. "She's a great role to play, she's so much fun, and her arc in the movie is amazing."
Other new players in the franchise include Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.
"X-Men: Apocalypse," which is directed by Bryan Singer, will make its way to cinemas on May 27.
