Kris Jenner has opened up about "American Crime Story: People v O.J. Simpson," the upcoming FX mini-series based on the trial of former athlete O.J. Simpson.

Jenner, who was married to Simpson's legal counsel Robert Kardashian and a friend to Simpson's late wife Nicole Brown, spoke to Variety about her thoughts on and expectations from the show.

"It was a very dramatic, sad, crazy time in my life and something that was tremendously difficult to go through," the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star said. "It will be kind of weird to watch it on TV as someone who lived that whole thing."

Jenner also shared her expectations regarding Selma Blair's performance on the show. Blair portrays Jenner in the mini-series.

"Selma's great," the reality star said. "I hope she's done a really good job in bringing it home. She's such a talented actress."

The Kardashian-Jenner clan matriarch also opened up about talking to David Schwimmer, who plays her late ex-husband in the show.

"Him [sic] and I spent hours on the phone," Jenner said. "He more or less wanted to know about Robert as a person. He was really interested in that and I really appreciated that. I wanted to give him some insight on that."

Schwimmer had previously talked about reaching out to Jenner to ask about Kardashian.

Speaking of Kardashian, the actor told The Hollywood Reporter: "I didn't realize the depth of his friendship and history with O.J. So, the questions for me became, 'Why did he make the choice to stay by him? What did he believe and did those beliefs change?'"

The actor added: "I think people will be really surpised by their assumption of who he was given his kids and the Kardashian name, and what that represents to people today. What's most interesting to me and the hook for the whole character was how much of a man of faith he was."

"American Crime Story: People v O.J. Simpson" premieres Feb. 2 on FX.
