"America's Next Top Model's" first deaf winner, cycle 22 winner Nyle DiMarco will be only the second deaf competitor in "Dancing with the Stars" history. How will he fare against others on the ballroom floor?
Fans of "ANTP" recall that DiMarco competed on cycle 22 last year and won the competition.
The last deaf competitor on "DWTS" was actress Marlee Matlin, who competed on season 6 with pro Fabian Sanchez.
Nyle is partnered with pro-Peta Murgatroyd, who is returning to the series after an foot injury led her to sit out season 21 of the popular ABC reality dance competition.
Working with DiMarco will prove an interesting challenge for the gorgeous blonde, as he's completely deaf and will need an interpreter present to help with communication.
According to a report by Inquisitr, after winning "ANTM," DiMarco said that he hoped his win would inspire others in the deaf community to pursue the careers they desired.
DiMarco hails from Queens, New York and according to Inquisitr, comes from a multi-generational deaf family.
The model has described his sexuality as "fluid," and though he had been in a long-term relationship on-and-off for a decade, according to Inquisitr.
As an honorary spokesman for Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K), Nyle is passionate about literacy, anti bullying campaigns and advocacy within the Deaf Community, according to his official website.
As an actor, Nyle's has appeared as the lead in the independent film "In the Can," an ASL Films production and as Garret on ABC Family's "Switched at Birth," stated his official bio.
He is a graduate of Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts University in the world for the Deaf.
"Dancing with the Stars" will debut its highly anticipated season 22, featuring DiMarco on ABC on March 21 at 8 p.m. EST.
