A lot of "Jane the Virgin" fans have rooted for Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) to end up with lead character Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez), and were thrilled to no end to see the two rekindle their romance this second season. However, will the two characters' romance be short-lived with Michael's possible death?

According to Vulture, it appears as if Michael will be killed off eventually because the narrator foreshadowed it during the first season's "Chapter 10."

The Villanueva ladies were worried about Alba's (Ivonne Coll) deportation, so Michael intervenes to make sure that Alba stays with her family. But because he was broken up with Jane at the time, he only tells Xiomara (Andrea Nevado) about his good deed.

"You still love her, don't you?" asked Xo, referring to her daughter Jane. Michael replied, "I'm not just going to give up on us. We belong together, and I'll never stop believing that."

The narrator then added, "And for as long as Michael lived, until he drew his very last breath, he never did."

At the same time, Michael is a cop, so he regularly puts his life at risk. Michael almost died tracking down international crime bosses, and now he's bent on catching Rafael's (Justin Baldoni) long lost brother, who might or might not be involved with crime lord Mutter.

Not to mention the final scene of last week's episode showed that someone was stalking Michael and taking photos of him. The stalker might just be Michael's admirer, but given his profession, it is most likely someone who has dangerous plans for him.

Meanwhile, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told The Hollywood Reporter that she is the only one who knows what will happen to the show's beloved characters.

"On this show, you have to plan like every inch of it because there are so many, many stories in each episode. You don't want anything to be random and you want it all to come back and wrap around," she said. "We always start the beginning of the season knowing what the last, really, what the finale is going to be."

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs every Monday on The CW.
