"Maze Runner: The Death Cure" star Dylan O'Brien suffered from an accident a few weeks ago. New details about the incident were released, hinting that what the actor suffered from is more serious than what was first reported.

"An action sequence was being filmed for a motion picture. This young worker was attached to a vehicle by harness, lanyard and overhead truss system when climbed onto the back [of] another vehicle," a report from iNFOnews.ca indicated.

"As the vehicles slowed, the trailing vehicle the worker was anchored to slowed more rapidly than the vehicle the worker climbed onto," the report continued.

O'Brien was not named in the report, but a source speaking with Teen Wolf News confirmed that it was indeed the actor who was being described in the report.

"The latest info on Dylan is the correct one," the source reportedly said. "[He was] yanked to the ground by his own safety vehicle and dragged under it."

In a previous report by WorkSafeBC, the actor was described to have suffered from a concussion, facial lacerations and fractures.

O'Brien has yet to give an update about his condition, although the director of the film he was shooting when the accident happened, Wes Ball, had already addressed the matter.

Posting a photo of a handwritten note on Twitter, Ball said: "Well, it's been a whirlwind of emotions these past few days. I've been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt."

The director continued: "But ultimately, I find myself left with just a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie. I'm sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew."

The production for the upcoming installment of "Maze Runner" has been halted and will resume again after O'Brien has recuperated from the injuries he sustained.

"Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is slated to hit theaters Feb. 17, 2017.
