If there is one thing that "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Sophie Turner loves about being in Bryan Singer's latest mutant film, it's that she got the chance to work with some of the most talented actors of her generation, including Jennifer Lawrence.
Turner has nothing but high praises for Lawrence, who plays Raven in the franchise. "She is definitely a big inspiration to work with and she is just how you'd want Jennifer Lawrence to be," she told Just Jared Spotlight. "She's exactly the same person that you see in interviews. And she was just amazing. She was really fun, really cool. Hilarious!"
Turner was able to rave about Lawrence even after the latter punched her on her private part (not intentionally, of course) while they were on the set.
"She punched me in the vagina once," Sophie laughingly shared. "I didn't ask her to either. It just happened. [Co-star] Evan [Peters] and I were having a fake fight and I said something like, 'I'll c--- punch you' or 'I'll punch you in the crotch' and then Jen thought that I said, 'Please c--- punch me, Jen,' so she punched me in the vagina and I was like, 'Awesome!' It was pretty funny."
While talking about her character with Digital Spy, Turner said that it will be interesting to watch Jean Grey's romance with Tye Sheridan's Cyclops blossom.
"It's really interesting to see the young douchebag Scott, and the young, shy Jean, and watching them fall out and make up and this weird chemistry they have," she said.
Another important person in Jean Grey's life is James McAvoy's Charles Xavier, who will be the father figure in her life.
"They have this unspoken bond because he's telepathic as well, he's gone through the same things. He's very powerful and he sees that growing in her. He wants to protect her and help her control her powers, but also help her access the best of her ability. They have a really sweet relationship," said Turner.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will make its way to cinemas on May 27.
